Deferred package configuration
I've seen many people here saying, "I don't like to have to answer questions to install my application." Now anyone with a decent version of debian -- that is potato and woody -- will know of a tool called debconf. All configuration for deb files is now done through the debconf system. You can configure the level of detail you wish to supply to debconf, if you want to supply any information at all, and you can enter the information at a deferred time if you so wish. To me, this seems like the perfect implementation.
