xlHtml converts an Excel spreadsheet file (.xls) into highly-optimized HTML. It includes scripts to allow it to be used as a Netscape or mutt plugin and as a xls handler for Apache. The program currently supports string, blank, boolean, error, integer, floating point, hyperlinks, and formula cells. It can also output in XML, tab delimited, or comma separated values (CSV).
socket_wrappers is an improved version of tcp_wrappers. The improvements include changing from K&R to ANSI C, removing unneeded compatibility libraries, separation of the public and private API, prepending tcpd_ to all private functions and data to prevent name collisions, updates to signal handlers so that the application's handlers aren't tampered with, dropping supplemental groups, and some build and man page improvements. Applications compiled with this library should be smaller, too.
Env_audit is a program that ferrets out everything it can about the environment. It looks for process IDs, UID, GID, signal masks, umask, priority, leaked file descriptors, and environmental variables. It comes with test configurations for anacron, apache, atd, crond, GDB, inittab, logrotate, PHP, pppd, procmail, rsh, rxvt, sendmail, SSH, stunnel, sudo, xinetd, and xterm.
The audit package contains the user-space utilities for creating audit rules, as well as for storing, searching, and generating reports from the audit records generated by the audit subsystem in the Linux 2.6 kernel and higher. It has a real-time plugin interface for event analysis and remote logging of events.
