ElphelOgm is a command line program that receives a realtime multicast UDP stream in RTP/MJPEG format and saves it as JPEGs or in Ogg/MJPEG format with variable framerate. It has a fastidious algorithm with reordering UDP packets and detection of errors and losses.

GenReS is a generic reconfigurable scriptable plugin for Mozilla-based browsers. It allows you to use external programs for EMBED or OBJECT tags. The plugin is supplied with Perl and Python scripts for embedding OpenOffice documents, images, video, and audio using ooffice, imagemagick display, mplayer, and mencoder and a controlling viewer with JavaScript. It is possible to scale, flip, and rotate images and video. Audio and video files can also be paused, started, viewed step-by-step, sought, and recorded to a set of files.
