FONTpage is a utility for viewing, managing, and generating images of fonts. It can install and delete per-user fonts as well as (when run as root) system-wide fonts. It displays fonts, has a full alpha-numeric popup window, and allows you to change the font size and color, background color, font face, bold, and italics. It also has the ability to input the text to be displayed, which you can choose to save as a PNG file. It is handy to view fonts and styles quickly, or to make "logo" graphics. And naturally, it is a simple way to try out fonts without dipping into the command line. The source code as well as Slackware packages are available.
GAMMApage is a program to adjust a monitor's gamma setting, either fully or by color. It is capable of setting gamma for most Linux distributions upon login, including those using ATI fglrx_xgamma. It works both for graphical logins or console logins. It only requires write access to the user's home directory, not to any system directories. It includes "preparation" tips with white and black point targets to make gamma corrections effective. This is the pumped-up, Python/GTK version of Monica.

HTMLpage is a text-based HTML editor. It can use drag'n'drop to generate hyperlinks and image tags with relative links and image sizes. It allows you to create a table by highlighting and copying a table from a document, pasting it into HTMLpage, and then clicking TABLE-ify. It will turn the comma-delimited data into a nice neat HTML table. Plain text can be converted to HTML. It also features spell-checking, color tag generation from a color picker, and keyboard shortcuts for several common HTML tags.
release versions Scripts are frequently updated and/or enhanced -- but the package name for download remains constant -- so those linking to just the download always get served up the latest versions.
