bib-extract is a command-line tool to search and extract entries from bibtex files and to format them for cutting and pasting. Searching can be limited to certain fields (such as author or title) and may include boolean operators. The format of the output is either the full bibtex entry, plain abridged text, or HTML. It can be useful for rapidly retrieving titles and inserting them into texts.
