AxKit is a mod_perl-based XML Application Server for Apache. Employing a rich set of standards-compliant techniques as well as extensible scripting options, AxKit provides on-the-fly conversion from XML to a variety of other formats including HTML, WAP, and plain text. AxKit's notable technical features include the introduction of XPathScript, a powerful, Perl-based transformation language, built-in support for XSLT, "smart" caching, and the easy creation of dynamic XML documents.
AxPoint generates beautiful slideshows in PDF format from a simple XML description format. It is written as a Perl SAX2 handler, but also ships with command line tools. The format supports slide transitions, PDF bookmarks, bullet point transitions, images, text colours, different fonts, and more.
AxKit Wiki is a Wiki built specifically for Apache's AxKit project. It implements an XSLT styled Wiki, while still allowing editing in low level text formats. Currently the supported text format is Perl's POD format, though any format with a SAX parser can be plugged in. Content is stored in an SQLite database.
