Agreed. Blurb lacks detail of product.
It doesn't matter whether it's open-source or not. If you are selling this product and you want to market it perhaps a more descriptive blurb would educate your prospective customers as to why your product is better than any other.
Sure it's probably listed on your web site but people shouldn't have to go there to read it. Make it easy for them to get the information they need so they will be more apt to buy your product.

Good call David. I uh.. how can I say this. I'm not born to be a drone like so many others. I have been working on side projects almost my entire adult life.
I've started two businesses and made money on both. Right now I'm still slaving away as a code whore, but I'm working on a new site which I am hoping will take off. ahem.. I'm planning will take off.
Anyway, good luck anyone with the tenacity to pursue something better than mediocrity.
