chestnut-dialer is a PPP dialing program, written in Python. It does not require root permissions, but requires read and/or write access to some system files (including the modem device). It uses the standard pppd daemon for setting up network interfaces. Basic features include account manipulation, including importing from another programs, default accounts, a command line interface, and call-back configuration.

MikMod Utilities is collection of command line tools for manipulating the module sound files that are typically produced by Soundtracker, Protracker, and other tools. mkcdtoc is a small and flexible command line utility to create TOC files for cdrdao. It reads a list of audio files and outputs a TOC file with a track specification for each audio file. Input data can be a raw list with one file name on each line, or an m3u play list. The program has a modular architecture and can be extended via plugins. The distribution includes a few plugins that can retrieve meta information from audio files to fill CD-TEXT blocks in the generated TOC file. There are plugins to perform audio file to WAVE format conversion.
Simple Image Reducer is an GTK application to easily reduce and rotate images. It can be useful for processing digital photos before sending by email or uploading on the Web. Image files can be supplied to the application from the file manager using the context menu "Open with...", or dragging files to the main window.
