It also supports RTMP, HTTP, live streaming, various playlist formats, a wide range of settings, and an extensive JavaScript API. The skinning functionality allows you to completely customize its look, and its plugin architecture allows you to easily extend the player with features such as sharing, recommendations, searching, analytics, and ad serving.
The JW Image Rotator is a Web component (built with Adobe's Flash) that enables you to display photos in sequence with fluid transitions. It supports rotation of images in the JPEG, GIF, and PNG formats listed with the RSS, XSPF, or ASX formats. A wide range of FlashVars (variables) are supported for tweaking both behavior and appearance. An extensive JavaScript API is exposed.
The JW Player for HTML5 is a fully skinable and configurable player based upon the new <video> tag found in HTML5. It is built using JavaScript (jQuery) and skinned using PNG images, which makes it extremely easy to modify both the behavior and looks. It supports all browsers and devices, offering the enhanced performance for users with enhanced browsers and a seamless fallback to the popular JW Player for Flash for everyone else.
JW Player for Silverlight is a simple, flexible Silverlight application for displaying Windows Media video, audio, and (live) streams on your Web site. While not yet as widely installed nor feature-rich as Flash, Silverlight is excellent for publishers who have content encoded in WMV or WMA. The player features a similar list of variables as the JW FLV Player, with the exception of playlist support. It also introduces a JavaScript API.
