dysii is a C++ library for distributed probabilistic inference and learning in large-scale dynamical systems. It provides methods such as the Kalman, unscented Kalman, and particle filters and smoothers, as well as useful classes such as common probability distributions and stochastic processes.
Urban Lightscape is a photo filter for exposure correction, localized brightness adjustments, dodging and burning, and the introduction of synthetic lighting to a photo. A simple "double-click-and-drag" paradigm is used to place control points on a photo, and clever edge detection localises and interpolates lightness adjustments around and between these points. Results are rapid, with additional controls for more subtle refinements.
LibBi is used for state-space modelling and Bayesian inference on high-performance computer hardware, including multi-core CPUs, many-core GPUs (graphics processing units), and distributed-memory clusters. The staple methods of LibBi are based on sequential Monte Carlo (SMC), also known as particle filtering. These methods include particle Markov chain Monte Carlo (PMCMC) and SMC2. Other methods include the extended Kalman filter and some parameter optimization routines. LibBi consists of a C++ template library and a parser and compiler, written in Perl, for its own modelling language.
