SysReport creates an XML report on a system, including hardware information and packages installed via conary. The report will maintain everything you need to recreate the system and can be used to create a diff from the previous day to notify the administrator of changes to the system.

The right idea for provisioning
I really think the conary folks have the right idea. The concept of maintaining packages like a source tree is just what we need. This is the provisioning system that is necessary to make Linux win in a large corporate environment.
I have to comment on this, MythTV is a great project. It is well polished and is being developed amazingly fast. It also has a great community of developers and users, very helpful.
With Myth you can create the ultimate media center. I have been using mine now for more than two months and have been very pleased.
