phpMyEdit generates PHP code for displaying/editing MySQL tables in HTML. All you need to do is to write a simple calling program (a utility to do this is included). It includes a huge set of table manipulation functions (record adition, change, view, copy, and remove), table sorting, filtering, table lookups, and more.
OOoReport is a report writing tool for OpenOffice.org. With an easy-to-use AutoPilot/"Wizard" approach, OOoReport will read data from any OpenOffice.org data source and turn it into a formatted Calc worksheet in a variety of formats. Using Calc commands, you can then preview the report, print it, or export it to a PDF file, or use any of the other features of Calc. OOoReport is packaged as a standard OpenOffice.org "Add-On" and does not require a Java Runtime Environment (JRE).
I've been looking for an open-source genealogy project that I could use instead of Brother's Keeper. After lots of disappointments, I came across gramps. Try it - it does the job - and it exports to html and OpenOffice.org. Great product.
APS opens the NTLM IIS proxy barrier
If you are desperate to use: AvantGo Connect for your Palm; any browser other than IE; etc. and are blocked by an IIS proxy set up for NTLM authentication - then APS is your answer. Don't be put off by the dependency on Python. It's worth installing Python just to run APS.
It just does what it says on the tin. Highly recommended - I don't know anything else that does the job.
