Commitfilter can be used by projects hosting source repositories and having a commit notification mailing list. The service allows users to subscribe to only the relevant areas of the repository for which they want to get notifications. Commitfilter has been in use for KDE for more than 2 years. It currently supports Subversion, but CVS support will be restored.
The goal of Dispositionator is a Web application to make it easy to embed collections of papers and slides of talks into Web pages, using templates. Talk material, related files, and information about events and associated topics are handled and can be sorted and filtered. The data is kept in a simple XML file and thus no database is required.
FARnodes is a protocol simulation and execution environment. It comes with a command-line frontend, a protocol code distribution manager, and a statistical analyser based on PyKDE. Example algorithms like Consensus and several other small tools and a big chunk of documentation make this a suitable entry-level software for people who have some interest in this (somewhat academic) area.
Hotstuff is a set of Perl scripts to automatically handle repositories for the "Get Hot New Stuff" creative data sharing functionality present in KDE and several applications. It handles both the traditional format and the new GHNS format as developed by the corresponding freedesktop.org project, and requires an SQL database to work. It also includes a (simple) Web frontend for database maintenance.
MoreBalance is a small utility which can forward ports, distribute traffic among hosts (optionally with scheduling guarantees), launch services on demand, protect against excessive usage, and perform other networking tasks. It is very modular and can be configured to use only the features it needs.
