I'm glad you gave it a shot - and this is good feedback.
The newer version has sensible defaults for all of the value (or at least, I tried to put sensible defaults in there).
I like the idea of a linear configuration path - I'll see if I can put that in there, though the limitations of dialog may prevent me (I'm not sure I can do a dialog with more than 2 options)
At any rate, I've also significantly streamlined what is in there so it only installs 2 things now. That's a pretty limited amount of duplication, but I'll see if I can make those two packages optional even.

So I just started working on cdr, and I've got some ideas for it. However, I have no idea what people who use cdr want (or hate/don't want)
So send me some mail (firstname.lastname@example.org) or tack a comment on here.
What do you think of cdr? What do you want out of it? If you hate it, why?
