Lincity is an SVGALIB (Linux only) and X based city/country simulation game for Linux and other Unix platforms (Solaris, FreeBSD, HP_UX, AIX, SCO and IRIX). There is also a Win32 version (win95 and NT) available as a separate package. The game reminds a bit of SimCity but has it's own goals and methods to get there.
Streamripper records MP3, Ogg, AAC, and NSV audio and video files from Shoutcast and Icecast compatible streams. The streams can be recorded as a whole or in individual tracks. Streamripper also features a relay stream, which lets you listen or watch live from multiple clients while recording.
Peer review for tags?
Will there be any peer review (or other quality control) for the tags? Currently, some projects have dozens of tags, of which most are only tangentially relevant.
As an example, if I browse for games/entertainment in current freshmeat, the first four entries are Wine, Knoppix, SDL, and Blender, none of which are games.

I'm sorry Tracey. No disrespect intended.
One more "unhelpful response" is when a developer gives you a positive initial response, but then after that you never hear anything again. This often happens with small and solo projects.
