mod_auth_vas is an Apache authentication and authorization module for use with the Apache Web server. The module uses Vintela Authentication Services (VAS) to implements the HTTP SPNEGO protocol, with optional fallback to 'Basic' authentication for browsers that do not support SPNEGO. In effect, using mod_auth_vas allows the Apache Web server to perform Windows integrated (single sign-on) authentication.
PGSSAPI lets you selectively plug external GSSAPI security libraries into applications without having to recompile the application each time. It decouples applications from particular GSSAPI implementations and allows you to combine implementations. It works by wrapping and dispatching standard GSS calls to libraries that you would otherwise directly link against. It dynamically loads GSS libraries, selecting which one to dispatch to by configuration file or by examining the standard header of GSS network tokens.
Kerberized Apps consists of TELNET, FTP, and RSH/RCP clients and servers packaged for VAS- enabled platforms. These tools give users the benefits of single sign-on for the more traditional remote access tools. It is derived from the apps component of Heimdal Kerberos and was formerly known as VAS Apps.
Quest OpenSSH is a version of OpenSSH modified and packaged to provide default single sign-on capability for customers using Quest's Vintela Authentication Service (VAS) and/or Vintela Management eXtensions (VMX) products. Quest's version of OpenSSH defaults to authenticating users and hosts with GSSAPI. It works in conjunction with VAS, to allow secure shell single sign-on to Unix hosts joined to Active Directory domains.
