The goal of the Frysk project is to create an intelligent, distributed, always-on system monitoring and debugging tool that allows developers and system administrators to monitor running processes and threads (including creation and destruction events), monitor the use of locking primitives, expose deadlocks, gather data, and debug any given process by either choosing it from a list or by accepting Frysk's offer to open a source code or other window on a process that is in the process of crashing, or that has been misbehaving in certain user-definable ways.
The GotoBLAS codes are a fast implementation of the Basic Linear Algebra Subroutines. The advantage is fast calculation. Note that the actual performance depends in part on the code from which you call the GotoBLAS subroutine(s), and on the combination of architecture and operating system under which you are running. Your own tuning can make a big difference.
nms is a set of drop-in replacements for the CGI scripts found at Matt's Script Archive. They have been developed from the ground up to emulate their behavior, but in many cases are better written and more secure. The collection includes form mail, guest book, simple search, and counter scripts.
Visualization of Compiler Graphs (VCG) reads a specification of a graph and visualizes it. It can lay out the graph using several heuristics such as reducing the number of crossings, minimizing the size of edges, and centering nodes. It allows folding of dynamically- or statically-specified regions of the graph.
X3D-Edit is a graphics file editor for Extensible 3D (X3D) that enables simple error-free editing, authoring, and validation of X3D or VRML scene-graph files. Context-sensitive tooltips provide concise summaries of each VRML node and attribute. These tooltips simplify authoring and improve understanding for novice and expert users alike. It uses the X3D 3.0 tagset defined by the X3D 3.0 Document Type Definition (DTD) in combination with Sun's Java, IBM's Xeena XML editor, and editor profile configuration files.
