Binary of Babel is the demo that got second place at Alternative Party 2010. It combines over 20 programming languages, including Objective-C, Vala, Scheme, and even COBOL, into one binary. It contains lots of classic demo effects such as a rotozoomer and raster bars.
Cuneiform is a commercial grade optical character
recognition (OCR) system. It was originally
developed and open sourced by Cognitive
technologies, and was originally Windows-only.
This project aims to port Cuneiform to run
natively on Linux.
Glyphtracer takes a picture of several letters. It detects individual letters and allows the user to tag them to Unicode code points. These are then vectorized and passed to Fontforge for finalization.
Wad2PDF examines wad files and prints an overhead
picture of all levels to a PDF file. All floors
are properly textured, and monsters and items are
drawn with sprites. It supports Doom, Doom 2,
Heretic, and Hexen. Pwads are fully supported.
