pop3despam (renamed from Spamhammer) looks at an account on a POP3 server and checks the "From" field of each message. The field is compared to a list of addresses on your computer to determine whether the message is from someone you know or someone you don't want to know. A message not matching the address list can be deleted from the server if you wish. A log is kept of the Message-ID, date, and who it was from (if deleted).
NCmatrix is a ncurses-based screensaver that produces the familiar display of vertical characters with added functionality to display network traffic. /proc/net/dev is polled to grab incoming and outgoing packet information, and the results are displayed as long or short colored streams of characters in the display, depending on the number of packets transferred since the previous poll. This code is based on the CMatrix codebase by Chris Allegretta.

binary for ncmatrix available
I've gotten several requests for a binary for this project as several people are not familiar with compiling the source code.
I've made the binary available below and and md5sum as well. Note that the md5sum is part of the downloaded filename. The binary is linked against the libraries from my current linux install at the time, so make sure you have these or the ncmatrix will not run on your system.
Also be sure to check the downloaded application with md5sum to be sure the file downloaded correctly and was not tampered with.
