vCard4J is a complete toolkit to manipulate vCards (RFC 2426) in Java. It contains a parser to read vCard files. It also includes a compiler to extend the library. vCard types are defined in a XML file, making it easy to add custom types. It also contains XSLTs to convert the internal DOM structure into vCards 3.0, xHTML, or other formats.

The java.sql.ResultSet DOM Wrapper implements the Java DOM interface to represent a JDBC result-set. The resulting ResultSetDocument does not contain the actual result-set data and meta-data, but instead contains references to row and column indices. Because of this, it is very memory efficient, but it requires that the result-set be created with "scroll" capabilities. The wrapper is read-only, but since it implements the standard interfaces, it allows the use of transformers such as Xalan to perform XSLT transformation and XPath queries on the SQL result-set.

XOM is an XML object model. It is a tree-based API for processing XML with Java that simultaneously supports streaming. In many use-cases, it can process arbitrarily large documents with effectively constant memory sizes. It strives for correctness, simplicity, and performance, in that order. XOM supports XSLT, Canonical XML, and XInclude.

A microcall is an XML-dialect used to communicate between a client and a server in a standard and easy-to-use way. The client part is (usually) implemented in Java and consists of a simple POJO that can understand the XML messages returned by the server response to a given call. The server part is only responsible for returning standard and correct messages in response to a given call. The server usually does a lot of work when it receives a call, but from the client standpoint, the server only returns a message explaining the result of the call.

Apache XML Graphics Commons is a library that consists of several reusable components used by Apache Batik and Apache FOP. Many of these components can easily be used separately outside the domains of SVG and XSL-FO. You will find components such as a PDF library, an RTF library, Graphics2D implementations that let you generate PDF and PostScript files, and much more.

Dexter is a tool that allows users to define extended attributes which can be associated with descriptors and editors. These attributes can be embedded into any well-formed XML document. The resulting embellished document, the 'source', is then input to the dexter engine. This will generate one or more XSLT stylesheets describing the input document interpolating editor modifications and any instructions specified by the descriptors. As dexter's operations are specified exclusively with extended attributes, all but the most unforgiving of XML content viewers will continue to see the decorated source exactly as the designer saw it before.
