RefDB is a reference database and bibliography tool for SGML, XML, and LaTeX documents. Command-line tools allow interactive or scriptable access to the data which are stored in a SQL database. RefDB can also be accessed through a Web interface, a SRU interface, or via editor extensions (Emacs/vim). Libraries for Perl and PHP are available for programmers. RefDB provides sophisticated character encoding handling, using Unicode by default.
DocBook is an XML vocabulary which enables you to create document content in a presentation-neutral form that captures the logical structure of the content. Using the DocBook Project XSL stylesheets, you can publish DocBook content as HTML pages and PDF files and other formats, including man pages, HTML Help, and JavaHelp.
The GCC XML Tree Node Introspector project consists of a patch to the gcc compiler to output the internal compiler tree nodes in RDF/XML and programs to process that RDF/XML. The tree nodes are complex data structures which represent the source code inside the compiler. Through these tree nodes, users are able to extract information from their programs that would be otherwise very difficult to obtain. Modules exist to store these nodes in Redland RDF using a Berkley database. The long-term goal of the project is create a high-level API that will make the programmatic manipulation of programs easier than it is now.

Album Shaper is a graphical application used to create, maintain, and share photo albums using open formats like HTML and JPG. Two-layer albums can be created in a drag-n-drop interface which allows quick and easy arrangement and categorization of photos. A few simple image manipulations such as rotation and flipping are provided to help get photos presentable as quickly as possible. Photos, subalbums, and albums themselves can be labeled as needed and modified at a later time by saving and loading from a simple XML format.
Treebeard is an XSLT IDE that allows you to load an XML file and an XSLT file (from the Web or from the local file system), edit either file, and then perform transformations. Some features include syntax highlighting, a pluggable XSLT transformer, a template browser, SAX transformations (so you can transform large files - 4MB tested), regular expression find, and displaying transformation results in HTML or plain text.
Staroffice/Openoffice to HTML Converter converts a Staroffice/Openoffice.org document to HTML, using xsltproc for the XML conversion and ImageMagick's convert to convert images. It creates a table of contents with links, and handles tables, styles, spans, and many other XML elements from a writer file.
jSimpleX is a visual XSL transformation tool. It uses an XML (source) file and an XSL/XSLT (stylesheet) file to produce a new (output) document. The output can be in a variety of formats, such as XML or HTML. It provides a mechanism for loading, editing, and saving each of the three documents. It also provides a preview tab for XML and HTML (version 3.2) documents. It also supports a commandline mode and an Ant task for automated builds.
RenderX XEP is a commercial-grade application written in Java for dynamic rendering of XML documents. XEP is a pluggable architectural component that takes two open standard inputs, XML data and XSL FO stylesheet, and produces the industry's defacto standards for high-quality rendered electronic documents, Adobe PDF and PostScript. XEP supports many extensions to the XSL FO specification, including SVG graphics and PDF-to-PDF linking.
