Ninive is an XML socket server. It accepts TCP connections from clients capable of building, sending, and interpreting XML buffers coded according to the internal XML Ninive Protocol (XNP). The main purpose is to extend in the file operations domain software applications that can't directly write or get a file from a location, e.g. for security policies. Through the XML Ninive Protocol, a generic client can read a file, read a directory's contents, or write a file in a specific location; Ninive will perform this request, sending to client its response. It can be useful as a filesystem interface for applications written in Macromedia Flash.
c_xml is a class that can convert between XML files and arrays or strings. It can parse an XML file into a DOM document object, so it can be returned as an array or displayed using a XSL stylesheet. The parsed XML document can also be manipulated to add, change, or remove nodes. Nodes may be searched using XPath. The resulting document can be regenerated in XML format.
Google Custom Search is a class that performs searches against a Google Custom Search engine, processing the response (search results and/or spelling suggestions) into properties of the object. It uses either cURL or the HTTP stream wrapper, depending on what is available on the server. The user can also specify the character encoding for the search query. Results are also made available in that encoding.
Free Islamic Toolbar is a Web browser extension that lets you watch Islamic and Muslim news TV channels, listen to Islamic radio stations from around the world, and search with Islamic search engines. It also features prayer times, an Islamic calendar, a qibla direction finder, and much more.
Algebraic Modelling System (AMS) is an approach to algebraic model representation that enables the expression and storage of models and their related instance data in a portable XML format. It is also able to convert these models to target modelling languages by use of simple XSL translation stylesheets. By using a representation format that is independent of any particular modelling system, your models become portable to any modelling system. An XML-based format also lends itself more easily to distributed computing, Web services, and other enterprise-level computing solutions.
VoiceXML::Client is a library that provides Perl programs with the ability to act as a user agent that fetches Voice Extensible Markup Language (VoiceXML) documents, parses them, and then executes the instructions therein by playing prompts and collecting user DTMF input/voice recordings through a handle to some type of telephone or other device interface. VoiceXML::Client's focus is on the client side. The XML documents are generated by a distinct process of your choice, unrelated to the library.
The docbookm package is contributed with LayManSys and contains very simple XSLT drivers for generating XHTML chunks from DocBook XML. This package does not require an installation; you only have to unzip the package's contents into a directory of your choice and start using it. There is no special documentation available. Use the file abstract.xsl for transforming an abstract and section.xsl for transforming sections. All other .xsl files are only includes needed by those two.
