GNU TeXmacs is a free wysiwyw (what you see is what you want) editing platform with special features for scientists. The software aims to provide a unified and user friendly framework for editing structured documents with different types of content: text, mathematics, graphics, interactive content. TeXmacs can also be used as an interface to many external systems for computer algebra, numerical analysis, and statistics. New presentation styles can be written by the user and new features can be added to the editor using Scheme.
OOoLatexEquation is an OpenOffice.org macro designed to manipulate LaTeX equations. It allows you to create equations and insert them into OOWriter and OOImpress documents as PNG, EPS, and EMF images, while the LateX characteristics are saved in the image attributes. The equations are created with and can be edited through an intuitive GUI. OOoLatexEquation supports an inline mode as in TexPoint which expand simple latex code into appropriate characters using specific TrueType fonts.
Project35 is an application suite that allows users to generate data entry forms from XML schema. Application designers use a Configuration Tool to associate records and record fields defined in the schema with application properties that include features such as: validation services, controlled vocabulary services, general plugins, and various aspects of look-and-feel.
