Construder is a 3D game featuring a dynamic infinite world of cubes to explore and change. In an artificial infinite structure, the player has to gather resources for construction purposes and for basic survival. Its 3D engine and basic game play are inspired by Minecraft and Infiniminer. The goal is to get 10,000,000 score points and get the "Construder" rank. Dangers the player might run into are starvation, as all actions require biological energy, and the randomly appearing robot drones that teleport the player far away. The game is feature complete and ready to play.
Schedule::Cron is a Perl module that provides a simple but complete cron-like scheduler. It can be used for periodically executing Perl subroutines. The philosophy behind Schedule::Cron is to call subroutines periodically from within one single Perl program instead of letting cron trigger several (possibly different) Perl scripts. Everything under one roof. Furthermore, Schedule::Cron provides a mechanism to create crontab entries dynamically, which isn't that easy with cron. It knows about all extensions (at least all extensions the author is aware of, i.e those of "Vixie" cron) for crontab entries like ranges including 'steps', specification of month and days of the week by name, or coexistence of lists and ranges in the same field. It even supports a bit more (like lists and ranges with symbolic names). It has existed since 1999 on CPAN and is successfully used in many projects.
KildClient is a MUD client written with the GTK+ windowing toolkit. It supports many common features of other clients, such as triggers, gags, aliases, macros, timers, and much more. But its main feature is the built-in Perl interpreter. At any moment, the user can execute Perl statements and functions to do things much more powerful than simply sending text the the MUD. Perl statements can also be run, for example, as the action of a trigger, allowing you to do complex things.
Moscrack is a WPA cracker for use on clusters. It supports MOSIX, SSH, and RSH connectivity and works by reading a word list from STDIN or a file, breaking it into chunks, and passing those chunks off to separate processes that run in parallel. The parallel processes are then executed on different nodes in your cluster. All results are checked and recorded on your master node. Logging and error handling are taken care of. It is capable of running reliably for long periods of time, without the risk of losing data or having to restart. Moscrack uses aircrack-ng by default. Pyrit for WPA cracking and Dehasher for Unix password hashes are supported via plugins.
Snortalog is a powerful Perl script that summarizes Snort logs, making it easy to view any network attacks detected by Snort. It can generate charts in HTML, PDF, and text output. It works with all versions of Snort, and can analyze logs in three formats: syslog, fast, and full snort alerts. Moreover, it is able to summarize other logs like CheckPoint, Netfilter, IPFilter, Packet Filter, Cisco PIX/ASA, NetScreen, TippingPoint, and Lucent BRICK in a similar way.
GPLIGC is a program for analyzing IGC flight data from GNSS flight data recorders used by glider pilots. It uses Perl/Tk and gnuplot. The openGLIGCexplorer (written in C++) allows one to view the data in 3D with OpenGL, and can also be used as a digital elevation model terrain viewer. It can also be used for off-screen rendering of 2D and 3D images of flight tracks or terrain/map data.
musutil includes several utilities for working with a music collection. The principle one is musview, which generates a number of "Views". Each View, analogous to a database view, is an alternative presenation of the original files. The View can selectively include only some files (based on their properties) or have files processed into into a different format, with audio filters applied, adjusted tag data, or a different filename.
A shell focused on interactive use, discoverability, and user friendliness.
