check_nwc_health is a plugin for the Shinken (or Nagios/Icinga) monitoring system. It is used to check hardware health, environment, interfaces, pools, uptime, etc. of a great range of the most popular network components like switches, routers, firewalls, proxies, load balancers, etc. Currently it can monitor: Cisco IOS, Cisco Nexus, F5 BIG-IP, CheckPoint Firewall1, Juniper NetScreen, HP Procurve, Nortel, Brocade 4100/4900, EMC DS 4700, EMC DS 24, Allied Telesyn, and Blue Coat SG600.
pyReScene is a tool that recreates original RARs by backing up the metadata. It is a port of ReScene .NET to Python. It provides a mechanism for backing up and restoring the metadata from "scene" released RAR files. RAR archive volumes are rebuilt using the stored metadata in the SRR file and the files extracted from the RAR archive. pyReScene consists of multiple related tools: pyReScene Auto to create a complete SRR with one simple command, pyReSample to recreate sample files, and pyReScene Usenet to create SRR files on the fly from Usenet postings. Lots of other small scripts for managing SRR and SRS files are available too.

Existing methods are inefficient, synchronous, and often overly influenced by politics, egos, and hierarchy. Hence the need for a new method without these limitations. Networked Decision Making is developed on the web2py platform and is fully compatible with Google App Engine and most SQL platforms.
Weed-FS is a simple and highly scalable distributed file system. There are two objectives: to store billions of files, and to serve the files fast! Instead of supporting full POSIX file system semantics, it implements only a key-file mapping. Instead of managing all file metadata in a central master, it manages file volumes in the central master and lets volume servers manage files and the metadata. This relieves concurrency pressure from the central master and spreads file metadata into volume servers' memories, allowing faster file access with just one disk read operation. It is modelled on Facebook's Haystack design paper. Only 40 bytes of disk storage are required for each file's metadata, and disk reads are O(1).
