SimGrid is a toolkit which provides core functionalities for the simulation of distributed applications in heterogeneous distributed environments. The specific goal of the project is to facilitate research in the area of parallel and distributed large scale systems such as Grids, P2P systems, and clouds. Its use cases encompass heuristic evaluation, application prototyping, or even real application development and tuning.
Amibanex is a banner exchange Web application. It can be used to set up and serve a system in which a group of Web sites mutually advertise each other. It features various member areas and admin features like detailed statistics, editing and deleting member accounts, setting exchange ratio, forcing advertisements to be served, sending mail to members, and giving credits.
Fast Track Systems Monitor (FTMON) is a monitoring engine that can be integrated with other systems management vendor solutions. It also defines a standard that allows applications/devices to be instrumented rapidly. The intent is to allow writing an FTMON monitor for virtually every device or application, and that any detected problems from these monitors will be able to be forwarded to any systems management solution. It is currently completely configuration file based.
Acrony is an online multiplayer word game that you can play either through your browser (any OS with Shockwave) or a Windows/Wine executable. The game consists of making the most entertaining phrase that matches a provided acronym, and then voting on who did the best job of it. An example for “F.B.A.” might be “Free Beer Anyone?” Integrated features include chat, a forum, user stats, and more.
