scikits.learn is a Python module that integrates classic machine learning algorithms in the tightly-knit world of scientific Python packages. It aims to provide simple and efficient solutions to learning problems that are accessible to everybody and reusable in various contexts: machine-learning as a versatile tool for science and engineering.
SCOTT is a toolkit aimed to support the automated testing of smart-card based applications. Its core resides in the SCOTT Shell, a command-line interpreter which can be driven by scripts that can manipulate smart-card devices via commands made available by card-specific plug-ins. The SCOTT toolkit has been designed with portability in mind.
screen-scraper is a tool for extracting data from Web sites. It works much like a database that provides access to the information of the Web. It provides a graphical interface allowing you to designate URLs, data elements to be extracted, and scripting logic to traverse pages and work with scraped data. Once these items have been created, screen-scraper can be invoked from external languages such as .NET, Java, PHP, and Active Server Pages. It can be scheduled to scrape information at periodic intervals, and can automatically write extracted data to CSV files.
The sctplib library is a fairly complete prototype implementation of the Stream Control Transmission Protocol (SCTP), a message-oriented reliable transport protocol that supports multi-homing and multiple message streams multiplexed within an SCTP connection. The API of the library was modeled after section 10 of RFC 2960, and most parameters and functions should be self-explanatory to the user familiar with this document. In addition, the library also provides a number of helper functions for managing timers and UDP communication.
SDB (show database) is a utility to manage a collection of tradeable live shows. It features a browseable list of shows, and the ability to compile special interest lists and import or export from/to various formats, including plain text, CSV, HTML, and PDF. XML files are used to store all data. Future goals include the implementation of some BitTorrent features, especially the creation of torrent files, and some network features to share information about a recorded show.
sdd is a replacement for a program called 'dd'. sdd is much faster than dd in cases where input block size (ibs) is not equal to the output block size (obs). Statistics are more easily understood than those from 'dd'. Timing available, -time option will print transfer speed Timing & Statistics available at any time with SIGQUIT (^\) Can seek on input and output Fast null input Fast null output. Support for the RMT (Remote Tape Server) protocol makes remote I/O fast and easy.
sdparm has a command line interface for getting and setting SCSI mode page fields. Fields can be referred to by an acronym or a numerical address. It has support for various SCSI transport and vendor-specific mode pages. It also decodes Vital Product Data (VPD) pages and can send some simple SCSI commands. sdparm was originally written for Linux with ports to FreeBSD, Solaris, Tru64, and Windows.
