It also features delay reverb and distortion, so the sound is comparable to Propellerhead's ReBirth RB-338. gsyn has been compiled and tested under Linux 2.[01], IRIX 6.2, Solaris 2.6, Windows 95, and Windows NT.

It is garbage collected and self hosting and produces portable byte-compiled binaries that can be executed on any platform with the appropriate interpreter.
