The Cross Platform Toolkit Library(xtklib) is a C++ based framework for highly object-oriented cross-platform programming. In particular, the library provides a full abstraction layer between its API and the main services offered by the underlying operating system (threads, processes, GUI, filesystem, etc.) plus a set of generic utilities (strings, data structures, etc.).It makes full use of all features of C++ like RTTI, templates, and exceptions, thus obtaining a strongly object-oriented design with a Java-like sensation. The library is composed of two main modules: "Base" and "Widgets". The target operating systems are Windows and Unix (Linux and BSD) with a plan to move towards other systems.
Letter Hunt is a rogue-like game. As such, you are an @ which navigates a dungeon populated by various monsters represented by different letters. However, unlike most rogue-like games where the goal is to get to the bottom of the dungeon to save the world, the goal in Letter Hunt is simpler: to score as many points as possible. Points are scored by defeating enemies in an order that spells a word. Capturing an rat, then an ant, and then a turtle, will award you points for spelling "rat". While it is turn-based like most roguelikes, play is faster since the traditional inventory has been replaced by power-ups.
Samurai Kanji a flash-card application for memorizing kanji. It is inspired by "Remembering the Kanji I" by James Heisig. It can run on any PDA or mobile device running PalmOS, SymbianOS, or Windows CE. What primarily makes this different from other, similar applications is that the kanji are divided into the same lessons that Heisig uses in his book. The user can then choose which lessons to drill on as the user progresses through the book.
