xmlrpc-c is a programming library for writing an XML-RPC server or client in C or C++. XML-RPC is a standard network protocol to allow a client program to make a simple remote procedure call (RPC) type request of a server. It's like SOAP or CORBA, but much simpler. This library speaks the same XML-RPC as similar libraries for lots of other programming languages, with most of the popular extensions. The client library uses either w3c libwww or Curl for HTTP. The server library contains a complete lightweight HTTP (Web) server and also facilities for running with CGI under any Web server.
Synopsis is a multi-language source code introspection tool that provides a variety of representations for the parsed code to enable further processing such as documentation extraction, reverse engineering, and source-to-source translation. It provides a framework of C++ and Python APIs to access these representations and allows Processor objects to be defined and composed into processing pipelines, making this framework very flexible and extensible.
Ved (visual editor) is a small and very fast screen-oriented text editor that implements a user interface somewhere between vi and Emacs. It is powerful and easy to learn, and has no limitations on line length, file size, or the types of characters that may appear in a file. It is a highly portable editor for Unix and most other OSes.
pngquant is a batch conversion utility to quantize and dither truecolor PNG images, especially those with a full alpha channel, down to "RGBA-palette" PNGs (i.e., PLTE + tRNS in PNG parlance). Such images are usually two to four times smaller than the full 32-bit versions, and partial transparency is preserved quite nicely. This makes pngquant especially useful both for Web sites and for PlayStation 2 development, where one of the texture formats is RGBA-palette-based (though not PNG-compressed).
MapIt! is a simple Web-mapping application implemented in Python that lets you navigate raster maps through your Web browser. It lets you zoom in and out, and select objects and object classes that are highlighted on the map. MapIt! can be integrated with an existing Web server in several ways: as a CGI script, Fast-CGI, or in Apache with mod_python. It can also serve GIS results over the Web.
TYPO3 CMS is a Web Content Management System which features automatic creation of navigational menus, headlines, and other dynamic graphical elements, automatic conversion and scaling of images, the ability to present different templates based on variables such as client browser or country code, support for multiple templates on a site, and a built-in password-protection option. Pages can be timed to be shown on a certain date, be hidden on a certain date or just temporarily hidden. TYPO3 supports search in SQL-databases and redesigning of a website at once is just a matter of creating a single new template.
