ChipVault is a chip development program for organizing VHDL and Verilog designs. ChipVault displays designs hierarchically and provides for rapid design navigation and editor launching. ChipVault provides hooks for performing bottom-up tasks such as launching RTL compilers, synthesis, block generation and instantiation, and includes simple to use Revision Control and Issue Tracking systems to help facilitate large group design projects with multiple designers and hundreds of design files. ChipVault is written in Perl and is small, fast, and efficient.
Tkinter is Python's de facto standard GUI (Graphical User Interface) package. It is a thin object-oriented layer on top of Tcl/Tk. To use Tkinter, you don't need to write Tcl code, but you will need to consult the Tk documentation and occasionally the Tcl documentation (since Tk's low-level event handling mechanism is considered part of Tcl).
Seminole Webserver is a portable Web server designed to be used in embedded systems, where memory space is at a premium. It is written in C++, and has a mechanism to direct requests to application-specific code, complete with the decoding of "CGI" parameters. It also includes a "filesystem" that can package up Web content (and optionally compress it) and store it in a ROM or other "flat" device. It comes with a simple example to make it a standalone Webserver under POSIX platforms for evaluation and testing.
Proxytunnel is a program that connects stdin and stdout to a server somewhere in the Internet through an industry standard HTTPS proxy. It's mostly used as a backend for OpenSSH's ProxyCommand, and as a proxy backend for Putty. It can also be used for other proxy-traversing purposes.
Anthill is a tool that ensures a controlled build process and promotes the sharing of knowledge within an organization. Anthill performs a checkout from the source repository of the latest version of a project before every build and tags the repository with a unique build number after every build. It supports many reposistory adapters including: CVS (Concurrent Versions System), Visual Source Safe, Perforce, PVCS, StarTeam, MKSIntegrity, and FileSystem. Anthill also automatically updates a project intranet site with artifacts from the latest build. Anthill is an extension to the Apache-Ant project and is compatible with version 1.3, 1.4, and 1.5 of Ant.
Sphere is a RPGCE (a role-playing game (RPG) creation engine) that allows you to relatively easily put together an RPG along the lines of Final Fantasy 6 or Phantasy Star. It supports 32-bit graphics (with 256 levels of translucency) and MP3, Ogg, MOD, S3M, IT, and XM files for audio (and WAV and SPX (speex) for sound effects), and does not place arbitrary limits on map, tile set, sprite set, or script sizes.
GNUnet is a peer-to-peer framework with focus on providing security. All peer-to-peer messages in the network are confidential and authenticated. The framework provides a transport abstraction layer and can currently encapsulate the network traffic in UDP, TCP, HTTP, HTTPS, or direct 802.11 (WLAN). GNUnet supports accounting to provide contributing nodes with better service. The services built on top of the framework include anonymous file sharing and a virtual network providing IPv4-IPv6 transition via protocol translation over the P2P network.
