The Audiere Audio System is a portable audio library which supports playing MP3, Ogg Vorbis, WAV, IT, XM, S3M, and MOD files. You can use it from C, C++, Python, Java, and any language that supports XPCOM (JavaScript in Mozilla, for example). It currently supports DirectSound 3, DirectSound 8, and arbitrary DLLs for output in Windows, and OSS in Linux.

ixlib is a C++ tools library based upon the STL. It provides garbage collection, a small well-integratable JavaScript interpreter, linear algebra components (e.g., linear solver, LU decomposition), planar geometry, polygons, automatic arrays, rasterization for geometric primitives and polygons, regular expressions and XML parsing (non-DTD). Its main design goals were simplicity and small size.

omega is a complex rogue-style game of dungeon exploration. Unlike other such games, there are a number of ways to "win", depending on various actions taken during play. The ways you can get your name on the hiscore board include becoming the highest ranked head of a guild, sect, college, etc., as well as gaining the most points figured from possessions and experience. The game (via the oracle) may impose some structure on your exploration, but you need not follow all of the oracle's advice. There *is* a "total winner" status, by the way.

Open Simp-X achieves scalability through plugins. Plugins can collect information, manipulate it, and send it back to the database. Writing plugins is easy since they do not have to worry about how to send or receive their information, and can focus on manipulating it. Open Simp-X can be set up to retreive data through a LAN or through a Web server.
