SimSoup is a graphical artificial chemistry simulator for Linux and Windows. The program enables a chemistry to be defined in terms of molecule types and the possible interactions between them. A simulation run involves setting up a number of molecules of various molecule types in a reactor, and then allowing interactions to take place over a period of time. Interactions taking place in the reactor are shown on a graphical display. The motivation for development of the program is to enable investigations into the behaviour of networks, particularly in relation to 'metabolism first' theories of the origin of life, although the basic design supports modeling of any network in which interactions can take place between nodes. Currently, development has reached the prototype stage.
PHP Doc System allows developers to create modules for documentation elements (installation steps, buttons, screens, etc.) and then refer to them instead of having to copy/paste information they'd want to have in two or more places. It can run as dynamic PHP, including everything on the fly or it can output static HTML that can be included in a software distribution.
QTads is a cross-platform multimedia interpreter for Tads (Text Adventure Development System) games. Both Tads versions in use today (Tads 2 and Tads 3) are supported. It should be easy to port to a range of platforms, including embedded devices. MIDI, Ogg Vorbis, MP3, and WAV sound formats are supported.
JavaBot is a chat bot for the AOL Instant Messenger, MSN Messenger, and Yahoo! messenger systems. It is designed to attempt to engage in conversation with people via IM. It supports such features as remote administration and full conversation logging. There is also a mechanism for eavesdropping on conversations other people are having with the bot. All administration is handled over IM, allowing remote administration. Using a simple scripting language, the bot's conversational responses can be modified to taste.
alogg is a library which makes it easier to use Ogg/Vorbis streams with Allegro. It offers facilities to decode, stream, and encode Ogg/Vorbis streams, and integrates those facilities with Allegro's datafile and sample loading routines. alogg comes with a sample player, streamer, and encoder based on Allegro's sound routines.
The Gordano Messaging Suite (GMS) is a highly flexible and reliable suite of messaging products. Customers can choose which components meet their needs from email, Webmail, collaboration, instant messaging, calendaring, SMS, and list server software all of which can be complimented by high level anti-spam, anti-virus, and archiving options.
The Fedora software is based on an architecture known as FEDORA (Flexible Extensible Digital Object and Repository Architecture). The software takes advantage of distributed (or local) Web services, and makes representations of objects (called disseminations) available via HTTP. It is particularly good at handling complex digital objects where source datastreams and behaviors are distributed. There are two binary distributions (server and client), and a source distribution (including all libraries and source code needed to build any distribution).
The Python SAP RFC module enables programming remote function calls from SAP ERP systems. It enables SAP-compatible data definitions in Python (both simple and complex datatypes like structures and internal tables can be defined from within Python and manipulated like normal Python datatypes) and features transparent value conversion from SAP to Python and vice versa. It needs the SAP librfc shared library.
