Sh is a programming language built on top of C++. It can be used to write shaders that run on top of modern graphics processing units (GPUs), or write stream programs that run on GPUs or CPUs. It is implemented as a C++ library, and allows programs to be generated at run-time using a number of metaprogramming techniques. Variants of programs for different cases can easily be generated, or programs can be generated entirely at run-time from some input data. The system is cleanly separated into a frontend and backend, and is hence portable.
World Domination is a real-time strategy game that uses the Stratagus engine and was inspired by the Axis and Allies board game. It is unique amoung RTSes because it does not require you to havest resources. Instead, you receive money based on how much territory you occupy. This allows the focus of the game to be on combat and not the management of workers.
Job Costing Software is a Web-based job costing product makes it easy to view or update job costs quickly. Users can view their project cost status in real time to make more accurate decisions, and can export costs to an Excel spreadsheet for reporting or printing. Two user levels allow suppliers to enter costs directly without the ability to edit other costs.
NaviServer is a versatile multiprotocol server originally based on AOLserver . It can be easily extended in either C or Tcl to create interesting Web sites and services. Main features include high performance multithreaded architecture, massive scalability and extensible approach, many modules, interpreted config file during startup, dynamic pages (ADP) in TCL, caching functions (static files and TCL byte code), pooled database connections, thread global arrays, introspection commands, mass virtual hosting that does not require server restart, a watchdog that restarts failed servers automatically, a telnet control port, efficient handling of down-/uploads, real-time upload progress/statistics, and more.
fupids2 is a so-called human oriented IDS based on the FUPIDS project. fupids2 calculates an attacker level for every user on all Unix/Linux/BSD systems in the network. It looks at the behavior of the user (the programs the user uses, the daytime the user is active, the building and room the user uses, the part of the room in which the user sits, and so on) and reports if the user engages in behavior that is unusual for that person. This method can often detect accounts overtaken by attackers.
The Centralized User Management Virtualization Engine provides on-demand systems management via a single, consolidated interface using IBM's Virtualization Engine. The user interface, delivered as part of the Virtualization Engine console, allows administrators to manage distributed users in a consistent manner.
wyoGuide is a tutorial, a collection of guidelines for building cross-platform applications with a well-designed, consistent look and feel. It gives ideas and advice on how an application and its GUI could and should be written. Development with these guidelines gives the GUI of an application a standard set of base functionality. wyoGuide also provides sample code for each guideline written in C++ using the wxWidgets (formerly wxWindows) framework. For a seasoned developer it shouldn't be difficult to adapt these guidelines to other languages or frameworks.
