Hiawatha is a secure and advanced Web server for Unix. It has been written with security as its main goal. It features advanced access control, prevention of SQL injection and cross-site scripting, banning of clients who try such exploits, the ability to run CGIs under any UID/GID you want, and many other features. These features make Hiawatha an interesting Web server for those who need more security than what the other available Web servers are offering. Hiawatha is also fast and easy to configure.
Kannel is a WAP gateway. It attempts to provide this essential part of the WAP infrastructure freely to everyone so the market potential for WAP services, both from wireless operators and specialized service providers, will be realized as efficiently as possible. It also works as an SMS gateway for GSM networks. Almost all GSM phones can use it to send and receive SMS messages, so this is a way to serve many more clients than just those using a WAP phone. Kannel was among the first WAP gateways to be certified as WAP 1.1 compliant.
The LibXDiff library implements basic and yet complete functionalities to create file differences/patches to both binary and text files. It uses memory files as file abstraction to achieve both performance and portability. For binary files, it implements both (with some modification) the algorithm described in "File System Support for Delta Compression" by Joshua P. MacDonald and the algorithm described in "Fingerprinting By Random Polynomials" by Michael O. Rabin. For text files, it follows directives described in "An O(ND) Difference Algorithm and Its Variations" by Eugene W. Myers. Memory files used by the library are basically a collection of buffers that store the file content.
LiteCommerce is a lightweight, easy to use online store-builder package that is designed to make launching an e-commerce store as easy as surfing the Web. METAXPON ("Metachron" in Greek letters) is a small and fast audio DSP library for time-scale manipulation of 16-bit integer or 32-bit floating point stereo audio data streams. It employs a rigid phase-locked vocoder with dedicated transient detection and processing, and can work in real-time or non-real-time. Four editions are included - a portable edition and three x86 editions. The portable edition can be built with any ANSI C compiler and is OS- and architecture-independent. The three x86 editions are written in assembly using the FPU, 3DNow!, and SSE instruction sets, respectively, with automatic selection between them depending on the CPU capabilities. They can be compiled with MASM, JWASM, or NASM, producing libraries of object files in 8 formats.
MLton is a whole-program optimizing Standard ML compiler. It generates standalone executables with excellent runtime performance, supports the full SML 97 language, and has a complete basis library. It also has a fast C FFI, source-level time and allocation profiling, and many useful libraries.
