EditiX is a cross-platform and multi-purpose XML editor and XSLT debugger (1.0 and 2.0), which helps Web authors and programmers use XML and XML-related technologies, such as XSLT, FO, and XSD schemas. It provides a lot of functionality within a refined IDE, which guides the user with intelligent entry helpers, and has real-time XPath location and syntax error detection. It allows the user to apply an XSLT or FO transformation, and shows the result in a separate view. It includes default templates for XML, DTD, XHTML, XSLT, XSD, XML RelaxNG, SVG, MathML, and XML FO. It can generate schema W3C, DTD or RelaxNG from a document instance.
ServingXML is a markup language for expressing XML pipelines and an extensible Java framework for defining the elements of the language. It defines a vocabulary for expressing flat-XML, XML-flat, flat-flat, and XML-XML transformations in pipelines. The accompanying console app supports reading content as XML files, flat files, SQL queries, or SAX events, and writing it as XML, HTML, PDF, or mail attachments. This software is especially suited for converting flat file or database records to XML, with its support for namespaces, variant record types, multi-valued fields, segments and repeating groups, hierarchical grouping of records, and row-by-row validation with XML Schema. There is also an API for embedding the software in a Java application.
Beonex Communicator is Mozilla polished for end users. It contains Navigator, Mailnews, Composer, and ChatZilla. Navigator has support for key web standards and a convenient interface. For example, it eases searching the Internet, similar to Apple's Sherlock on Macintosh. The Bookmark Manager can deal with huge collections of bookmarks and allows you to overview and sort them while you are surfing. If you want, you can track the latest headlines or webcams using the Sidebar. The Mailnews client supports multiple IMAP, POP3 and/or news accounts for each user, so you can download and manage all your email from various accounts in one place and store them on your computer or the server. Beonex puts a strong emphasis on security, privacy, and netiquette, to protect the private or confidential information on your computer and to encourage fairness.
XSD is a W3C XML Schema to C++ translator. Provided with an XML instance specification (XML Schema), it generates C++ classes that represent the given vocabulary as well as parsing and serialization code. You can then access the data stored in XML using types and functions that semantically correspond to your application domain rather than dealing with elements, attributes, and text in a direct representation of XML such as DOM or SAX. XSD features support for in-memory and stream-oriented processing models, comprehensive XML Schema feature coverage, easy integration, and more.
The 'expp' tool (the Epeios XML preprocessor) reads an XML file to transform it to another XML file. It simplifies the writing of XML files by allowing the handling of macros, the definition and testing of variables, the inclusion of files, and more. This is done by writing, directly in the source XML file, predefined tags owned by a given namespace, tags which are then recognized and handled by the 'expp' tool. The tool is also available as a Java native component.
MIB Smithy is an application for SNMP and COPS developers, MIB and PIB designers, and Internet-draft authors. It provides a GUI-based environment for designing, editing, and compiling MIB and PIB modules according to the SMIv1, SMIv2, and COPS-PR-SPPI standards. It accelerates the development process by providing an easy-to-use GUI-based environment for developing the specifications without the syntax and formatting concerns of editing the modules by hand. It includes a number of built-in basic SNMP management tools, XML support, and (with MIB Smithy Professional) support for custom compiler output formats.
