Rsyncrypto allows you to encrypt a file or a directory structure such that they can later be synchronized to another machine using rsync. This means that local changes to the plain text file result in local changes to the cipher text file. rsyncrypto compresses the plain text file prior to encrypting it with gzip using the "rsyncable" patch, which is available from the rsync sources.

SkFind is a set of portable and scriptable tools that help developers build software for both publishers and end users such as search engines. It provides a simple data layout that is used to build more complex layouts. The low-level, extensible tools allow read-only access to files, Oracle databases, or other data sources. There are also high-level tools to handle word lookups, case and/or accent simplifications, full-text searches with boolean operators and exact expressions, document highlighting, file-system compression, and more.
SkProd provides a way of building binary data for applications. SkProd has been historically developed for publishing tools. However, it can potentially be used for any application that needs some data to be compiled. The SkProd language emphasizes data flows. Instead of using imperative commands like if/for/while, a SkProd program describes how to produce data streams, and what operations (filters) should be applied on those data streams. Therefore, a typical SkProd program is not a sequence of functions, but rather is a tree whose roots are the input data streams, and whose leaves are the output data streams.
Tao is a software package for sound synthesis using physical models. It provides a virtual acoustic material constructed from masses and springs, which can be used as the basis for building quite complex virtual musical instruments. It comes with a synthesis language for creating and playing instruments and a C++ API for those who would like to use it as an object library.
Manitou-Mail is a 3-part database-driven email system: a PostgreSQL database for the storage engine, a Perl daemon that does send/receive and customizable analysis/indexing of the mail, and a mailer-like user interface (C++/Qt) connected to the database. The general goal is to provide a database-style architecture to handle email, not just for storage but at the application level too. Fast and shared access, fine-tuned security, robust storage, consistent backups, auditing, statistics, and customized add-ons are possible.
