XMLTV is a set of programs to obtain and process TV (tvguide) listings and manage your TV viewing. It stores the listings in an XML-based format and most of the programs are filters which read and/or write XML. It includes tools to obtain, sort, grep, print, and munge listings, and two end-user programs to plan a week's TV viewing.
SWISH++ is a Unix-based file indexing and searching engine (typically used to index and search files on web sites). It was based on SWISH-E although SWISH++ is a complete rewrite. SWISH++ is at least 10 times faster and can handle much larger numbers of files. Additionally, it has unique features such as selective non-indexing, on-the-fly filters, user-selectable stemming, and more.
4Suite is a Python-based toolkit for XML and RDF application development. It features a library of integrated tools for XML processing, implementing open technologies such as DOM, RDF, XSLT, XInclude, XPointer, XLink, XPath, XUpdate, RELAX NG, and XML/SGML Catalogs. Layered upon this is an XML and RDF data repository and server, which supports multiple methods of data access, query, indexing, transformation, rich linking, and rule processing, and provides the data infrastructure of a full database system, including transactions, concurrency, access control, and management tools. It also supports HTTP, RPC, SOAP, and FTP, plus APIs in Python and XSLT.
GNU Libidn is an implementation of the Stringprep, Punycode, and IDNA specifications defined by the IETF Internationalized Domain Names (IDN) working group. It is used to prepare internationalized strings (such as domain name labels, usernames, and passwords) in order to increase the likelihood that string input and string comparison work in ways that make sense for typical users throughout the world. The library contains a generic Stringprep implementation that does Unicode 3.2 NFKC normalization, mapping and prohibition of characters, and bidirectional character handling. Profiles for iSCSI, Kerberos 5, Nameprep, SASL, and XMPP are included. Punycode and ASCII Compatible Encoding (ACE) via IDNA are supported.
cw is a non-intrusive real-time ANSI color wrapper for common Unix-based commands. It is designed to simulate the environment of the commands being executed, so that if a person types 'du', 'df', 'ping', etc. in their shell it will automatically color the output in real-time according to a definition file containing the color format desired. It has support for wildcard match coloring, tokenized coloring, headers/footers, case scenario coloring, command-line- dependent definition coloring, and includes over 50 pre- made definition files.
