fakedbfs is a suite of tools and a library for cataloguing files. Anything that is a file can be catalogued along with metadata. The metadata is then searchable through various querying facilities. It runs entirely in userland and was inspired by BFS, which doesn't do content indexing, only metadata.
fpwdman manages a file of passwords that is accessed by one master passphrase. It can import and export password files and makes it possible for encrypted password files to easily be transferred across operating systems. It supports multiple password files, which could be used when a number set of system administrators share a site-wide file of passwords for common tasks, while each maintaining a file of personal passwords. It also exports and imports password files to and from plain text and optionally uses user-generated random entropy. The source includes two command lines tools to encrypt and decrypt: ensbc and desbc.
iTree Pro-XQ Powertree is a Java tree menu with drag 'n' drop, tabs, scalability, and database friendliness. It also features a large variety of search facilities and runtime editors which are especially useful for large interactive application interfaces. Menu content can be fed from an easily written text file or database interface script. Other features include multi-state user-definable icons, true-type fonts, pixel-level customizable colors and layout, script triggers, multiple scrolling logics, checkbox and radio menu items, line-wrapping, and rollover effects.
Isobel is a framework to build complex information retrieval and analysis systems. Isobel can be functionally divided in two subsytems, Isobel Gatherer (the crawling and filtering subsystem) and Isobel Analyzer (the analysis subsystem). The two subsytems can also be used separately. Isobel Gatherer offers ready-to-use services like content fetching, scheduling, document format conversion, Hyperlink graph storage and analysis, content storage and indexing. A programmer may easily add new services. Isobel Analyzer uses the IBM UIMA architecture to reuse the analysis components developed for this architecture.
