Siam Quantum (SQ) is a quantum chemistry program that calculates wave function and total energy of molecules. It currently supports Hartree-Fock and MP2 methods using Gaussian-type basis functions. Geometry optimization is also possible. The source code is well documented because it was initially designed for academic purposes so that students can easily understand. However, Siam Quantum can also produce high quality results for research purposes because the energies calculated are comparable to the ones produced by other software packages such as Gaussian or GAMESS, with the errors in the order of 10^-6 Hartrees, which can be further reduced with more strict cut-off.
SDL Asylum is a C/SDL port of Andy Southgate's 1994 game Asylum, originally for the Acorn Archimedes. In the game, Young Sigmund has a few problems. To help him resolve his mental instability, you must enter the surreal world of his inner mind and shut down the malfunctioning brain cells.
Frodo is a free, portable C64 emulator. It focuses on the exact reproduction of graphical effects possible on the C64, and comes in three "flavors" (Frodo, Frodo PC, and Frodo SC) with increasingly higher quality of emulation, but at the cost of higher processing power requirements. Frodo has been ported to a number of systems, including handheld computers. The Unix version can use either SDL, X11, or SVGAlib to display the graphics.
Rocket Propulsion Analysis (RPA) is a tool for the performance prediction of rocket engines. By providing a few engine parameters such as combustion chamber pressure, used propellant components, and nozzle parameters, the program obtains chemical equilibrium composition of combustion products, determines its thermodynamic properties, and predicts the theoretical rocket performance. A robust, proven, and industry-accepted Gibbs free energy minimization approach is used to obtain the combustion composition. It can perform analysis of nozzle flows with shifting and frozen chemical equilibrium, optimization of propellant components mixture ratio for maximum specific impulse of bipropellant systems, altitude performance analysis, analysis of nozzle performance with respect to overexpansion and flow separation, throttled engine performance analysis, estimation of test (actual) nozzle performance, and nested analysis: stepping of up to four independent variables (component ratio, chamber pressure, nozzle inlet conditions, and nozzle exit conditions).
PHP Doc System allows developers to create modules for documentation elements (installation steps, buttons, screens, etc.) and then refer to them instead of having to copy/paste information they'd want to have in two or more places. It can run as dynamic PHP, including everything on the fly or it can output static HTML that can be included in a software distribution.
Transolution is a Computer Aided Translation (CAT) suite supporting the XLIFF standard. It provides the open source community with features and concepts that have been used by commercial offerings for years to improve translation efficiency and quality. The suite is modular to make it flexible and provides an XLIFF Editor, translation memory engine and filters to convert different formats to and from XLIFF. The use of XLIFF means that almost any content can be localized as long as there is a filter for it (XML, SGML, PO, RTF, StarOffice/OpenOffice, etc.).
Puggle is a desktop search engine that provides full text search over files, folders, music, photos, Web pages, and other data that are stored locally on your computer. Puggle is able to create many different indices, each with a different configuration. For example, you may have a different index for your music collection as well as your documents. Each of them can be used on demand, simply by loading it. Furthermore, Puggle supports indexing of portable devices, like USB flash drives or external hard disks. The index will be stored in the device, using relative paths, allowing you to search over the data very quickly on any computer.
