ObjectDB for Java/JDO is a powerful yet compact Java Data Objects (JDO) Object Database (ODBMS), written entirely in Java, and compliant with the Java Data Objects (JDO) standard developed by Sun (JSR12). ObjectDB for Java/JDO is designed to efficiently handle databases of various sizes, ranging from a few KBs to hundreds of GBs. Among its features are small footprint, high performance, rapid development, easy deployment, and flexible architecture (1-Tier, 2-Tier, or N-Tier).
Sval is a Web service which charts the closing price of a stock listed on the American Bourses versus the closing values of the DJIA, NASDAQ, and S&P500 over a given period of time. The chart is returned to the user as a SOAP message attachment in PNG, JPEG, or SVG format. This project is a testbed for investigating a wide variety of Web service technologies by implementing the same Sval Web service using different architectures.
A Life Science Identifier (LSID) Resolver is a software system that implements an agreed LSID resolution protocol to allow higher-level software to be able to locate and access the data uniquely named by any LSID URN. This project is the first implementation of a Web service-based LSID URN resolution protocol, and includes Java J2EE, Perl, and Win32 COM/C++ client & server stacks, example programs, and tutorials on how to establish a LSID resolver for any organization.
