MCS MyVoIP very accurately measures the quality and performance of Internet connections for Voice over IP (VoIP) usage by simulating UDP voice data traffic between a server and browser clients. Connections are tested for jitter and packet loss and rated for the supported level of sound quality. The VoIP test can be set to various codecs or customized by packet size, packet rate, and test length. The test can further be combined with a bandwidth speed test or network route diagnostics for more in-depth connection analysis.
MQ4CPP, or "Message Queuing for C++", is an implementation of an enterprise messaging system, also referred to as message-oriented middleware (MOM). It enables C++ application threads to communicate with other threads locally or remotely through the exchange of messages. A message is a request, report, and/or event that contains information needed to coordinate communication between different applications. MQ4CPP implements direct/indirect messaging, unsolicited messaging, request/reply, conversation, publish/subscribe, store & forward, and broadcast. It supports multithreading, application clustering (failover and session replication), and encryption. MQ4CPP also includes a distributed lock manager, a file transfer manager, and a distributed memory channel.
JReferences is a program written in Java for managing bibliographic references in the BibTeXML format. Storage is done in a binary file database or, optionally, in a MySQL database. A PHP Web frontend is available. It can input BibTex, RIS, BibTeXML, and DocBook formated references.
VTAGS is a command line application that will generate a VI(M) compatible tags file for VHDL source files. This application will read standard VHDL'87 files. It should also parse later VHDL, but it only takes account of the basic parts of the language. It will group items that it finds by architecture, procedure, function, or package. It does this by adding extra information to the extension field of the tags file.
Zip is a compression and file packaging utility for Unix, VMS, DOS, OS/2, Windows 9x/NT, Amiga, Atari, Macintosh, BeOS, SMS/QDOS, MVS, VM/CMS, and others. BitNami Tracks Stack is an all-in-one cross-platform installer for Tracks, a Web-based application to help you implement David Allen's Getting Things Done methodology. It installs Tracks, Ruby On Rails, and everything else necessary to have a running program in minutes. It works on Windows, Linux, and OS X.
FireStorm/DAO is a Java Code Generator that can import existing database schemas (from a SQL script or from a live JDBC connection) and can then generate a complete persistence tier. It generates Java source code and configuration files that developers would otherwise have to write by hand, and that is compliant with the Data Access Object (DAO) design pattern.
