libextractor is a library used to extract meta-data from files of arbitrary type. It is designed to use helper-libraries to perform the actual extraction, and to be trivially extendable by linking against external extractors for additional file types. The goal is to provide developers of file-sharing networks, file managers, and WWW-indexing bots with a universal library to obtain meta-data about files. It includes a shell-command and bindings for Java (JNI) and Python.
Irma is a CGI program used to retrieve the information from an HTML form, send confirmation email, and keep track of the data posted. Irma can be used remotely, can automate mandating fields (required information), prompt for confirmation as an intermediate step, and send electronic mail to a list of receivers, including dynamically-generated names with posted data mapped in email contents, subject and other fields. It can provide the highest level of customization through an expressions machanism at all levels of content generation, and can keep track of posted data in a server-side file of any desired format. It has a central administration and full control over remote processing for no security compromise, can chain multiple forms and inherit variables and data from previous ones, and it allows customized levels of errors and messages.
wctpXml offers C++ developers a class library to support generating WCTP requests, and parsing WCTP responses expressed in XML. Building wctpXml creates a static library appropriate for your environment. The library provides you with a set of classes, wctpXmlXXXX, that encapsulate the operations supported in WCTP Version 1.1.
aria2 is a utility for downloading files. The supported protocols are HTTP(S), FTP, BitTorrent, and Metalink. It has a powerful segmented downloading ability, downloading a file from multiple sources and multiple protocols and utilizing your download bandwidth to the maximum. It supports downloading a file from HTTP(S)/FTP and BitTorrent at the same time, while the data downloaded from HTTP(S)/FTP is uploaded to the BitTorrent swarm. Using Metalink's chunk checksums, aria2 automatically validates chunks of data while downloading a file like BitTorrent.
eSoap is a SOAP toolkit for C++. Server side programming of Web services can be done using mod_esoap (an Apache module that supports SOAP), Abyss (the native embedded HTTP server), and CGI. Client side programming implements one type of SOAP transport (HTTP) using two libraries (NanoHTTP/cURL). Examples of how to build Web services for Linux, Windows, and RTOS are provided.
Qt is a comprehensive, object-oriented development framework that enables development of high-performance, cross-platform rich-client and server-side applications. When you implement a program with Qt, you can run it on the X Window System (Unix/X11), Apple Mac OS X, and Microsoft Windows NT/9x/2000/XP by simply compiling the source code for the platform you want. Qt is the basis for the KDE desktop environment, and is also used in numerous commercial applications such as Google Earth, Skype for Linux, and Adobe Photoshop Elements.
