GImageView is a GTK+ based image viewer. It supports tabbed browsing, thumbnail table views, directory tree views, drag and drop, reading the thumbnail cache of other famous image viewers, and a flexible user interface. It also support movies using the Xine library and MPlayer, and supports images in compressed archive formats like tar.gz, zip, and lha.
Artekopia Netjuke is a cross-platform Web-based audio streaming jukebox powered by PHP 4 and an increasing choice of databases. MP3, Ogg Vorbis, ASF/WMA, and other music file formats are supported. Artekopia Netjuke aims to enable small organizations or communities run a private "mp3.com-like" Web site to access the music they legitimately own, distribute, or are granted access to. It supports most audio players, language packs, optional file downloads, media protection schemes, multi-level security, shared and private playlists, random playlists, images, etc. It also features an unusual, easy-to-use installer module to get you started in minutes.
Q-Midi is a MIDI interface module which allows you to write MIDI applications in the Q programming language. It runs on top of Grame's MidiShare package. Most basic MidiShare functionality is available, including timing functions for realtime programming and MIDI file access. A sample MIDI player application is included (which requires Tcl/Tk).
Q-Audio is a digital audio interface for Q. The package contains three modules which together provide the basic functionality needed to write digital audio applications. The audio module implements a (nearly) real-time audio interface on top of the PortAudio library. The sndfile module allows you to access sound files in various formats using libsndfile. The wave module provides basic operations for creating and manipulating wave data, including operations to convert sample rates, to calculate Fourier transforms, and to display wave data in a GGI visual.
FrAid (Fr[actal] Aid) is a programming language that is appropriate for mathematical computations, visualization, batch processing, and more. It features both a standalone application that provides a programming environment for the language and a system for integrating the language with Java. The Java interface allows mathematical equations and formulas to be used with Java code, making it easier to process numerical computations, symbolic computations, imaging, CAD, and more.
Tao is a software package for sound synthesis using physical models. It provides a virtual acoustic material constructed from masses and springs, which can be used as the basis for building quite complex virtual musical instruments. It comes with a synthesis language for creating and playing instruments and a C++ API for those who would like to use it as an object library.
