Cdrdao records audio/data CD-Rs in disk-at-once (DAO) mode based on a textual description of the CD contents (toc-file). Features include full control over length and contents of pre-gaps (pause areas between tracks). Pre-gaps may be completely omitted, e.g. for dividing live recordings into tracks. Control over sub-channel data like catalog numbers, copy, pre-emphasis, 2-/4-channel flags, ISRC code, and index marks are provided as well. GCDMaster is a Gnome GUI front-end that lets you import MP3 and WAV files, select track markers and cut/copy/paste audio snippets before burning.
You are captain of the cargo ship Chromium B.S.U., responsible for delivering supplies to our troops on the front line. Your ship has a small fleet of robotic fighters which you control from the relative safety of the Chromium vessel. Chromium B.S.U. is a fast paced, arcade-style, top-scrolling shooter. It uses OpenGL for graphics, OpenAL/SDL_mixer for sound effects, GLC/FTGL for text rendering, and glpng/SDL_image for texture loading.
DeuTex is a wad composer for Doom, Heretic, Hexen and Strife. It can be used to extract the lumps of a wad and save them as individual files. Conversely, it can also build a wad from separate files. When extracting a lump to a file, it does not just copy the raw data, it converts it to an appropriate format (such as PPM for graphics, .au for samples, etc.). When it reads files for inclusion in pwads, it does the necessary reciprocal conversions. In addition, DeuTex has functions such as merging wads, etc.
gsyn is internally designed to be an extensible, modular synthesizer, but the interface and current codebase present a Roland TB-303 emulator which is programmed using fasttracker-style note entry. It also features delay reverb and distortion, so the sound is comparable to Propellerhead's ReBirth RB-338. gsyn has been compiled and tested under Linux 2.[01], IRIX 6.2, Solaris 2.6, Windows 95, and Windows NT.
