The GNU Compact Disc Input and Control library encapsulates CD-ROM reading and control for applications wishing to be oblivious to the OS- and device-dependent properties of a CD-ROM. It provides an API for access to SCSI-MMC (multimedia commands) and support for CD image types like BIN/CUE, cdrdao's TOC, and Nero's NRG, which gives applications using the library the ability to read disc images as though they were CDs. ISO-9660 filesystem support is included, as are utility programs for displaying CD and CD-ROM drive information, reading the blocks of a CD, and extracting files from an ISO-9660 filesytem image. cdparanoia is also included.
OpenVIP is a flexible video-processing tool for Unix and Windows. It consists of two parts: the OpenVIP core, which is written in C/C++, and a Python GUI editor based on the timeline concept. The library can be used by other multimedia applications and is easily extensible with custom plugins (I/O formats, filters, transitions or more general modules).
EZ Reusable Objects (EZRO) is a Web application that can be used by non-technical staff to manage content as "objects." Content objects containing text, video, and audio can be shared, modified, and re-styled to appear via a traditional Web site, an on-line course, an innovative "Coach," or as a community of interest site. It is highly scalable and can be used for public Web sites, secure environments, and private intra/extranets.
m3ute2 is a CLI program designed for easily moving subsets of large media collections from one location to another while providing information to the user about what it is doing. It can take file data from both lists (text files such as M3U playlists and plain lists) and directories, with powerful filtering options for both.
Elisa Media Center is a project to create a media center solution for GNU/Linux and Unix operating systems. Elisa runs on top of the GStreamer multimedia framework. In addition to personal video recorder functionality (PVR) and Music Jukebox support, Elisa also interoperates with devices following the DLNA standard, like Intel's ViiV systems.
