XED is a text editor for XML document instances. It is designed to support hand-authoring of small-to-medium-sized XML documents, and is optimized for keyboard input. It works very hard to ensure that you cannot produce a badly-formed document. Although it does not validate, the results of offline validation can be accessed, and it does read DTDs and keep track of your document structure, and provides context-based accelerators to make element and attribute entry fast and easy.
oXygen is an XML editor that supports any XML document, and works with XML Schemas, DTDs, Relax NG schemas, and NRL Schemas. It has powerful transformation support that allows you to edit XSLT and XSL-FO documents and to obtain documents in the desired output format (such as HTML, PS, or PDF) with just one click. It also includes a complete Subversion client, support for flattening XML Schemata, an XML Schema instance generator, integration with the X-Hive/DB, MarkLogic and TigerLogic XML databases, editing actions on the diagram, and a rename refactoring action.
Crossfire is a Firefly Media Server client written for the Apple iPhone and the iPod touch. It has support for streaming, browsing, and searching music content. It supports both Mobile Safari and FireFox, but can be configured for various other devices such as Windows Mobile, Symbian, etc.
BlindTux is a musical quiz game. The goal is to identify the artist, title, or year of a song by choosing an answer from among 4. The maximum number of players is 4. PHPTAL is a fast, safe, XML-based template engine for XHTML and HTML5. It implements Zope's Template Attribute Language, which has clean, concise syntax that is compatible with XML tools (no custom ugly tags), and template source files can even be previewed in Web browsers or opened in WYSIWYG editors. Templates are compiled to PHP and cached, giving great performance and taking advantage of PHP accelerators. PHPTAL by default ensures well-formed output and escapes XML-unsafe characters everywhere, which means that your pages can be completely safe against HTML-injection (XSS) without great effort. It features fine-grained caching of output, pre- and post- filters, internationalization via gettext or custom backend, creation of custom template attributes and expressions, and templates loaded from non-standard sources (e.g. databases). It supports UTF-8 well, is easy to integrate and redistribute with PHP frameworks and applications, and has an object-oriented design and a comprehensive unit test suite.
LastFmLib.net lets you access all Web services provided by Last.fm. This also includes an implementation of the Audioscrobbler 1.2.1 submissions protocol and radio api. Also, LastFmLib.net provides a set of useful classes, e.g for caching requests and pictures and for accessing simple request easily via the LastFmClient class. The library should be fully Mono compatible (the test with MoMa was positive).
The adventure PHP framework (APF) is a utility to implement object oriented and generic PHP Web applications. It allows the developer to create programs in compliance with approved software design patterns, and the code base already has answers to many everyday problems. The framework cannot be described as an application that only has to be configured, but rather as a technical basis and design guide for the design of software. Further, it introduced many concepts and efficiency tools already well known in the Java community.
