The WorldForge Project is developing a complete, distributable framework for massively multiplayer online roleplaying games. The system will include a number of fully developed roleplaying worlds with unique maps, histories, creatures and legends. To run these worlds on the servers a balanced but highly customisable set of roleplaying rules is being developed. Provisions will be made to allow others the ability to recode the servers to use alternate rule sets. A standard protocol named Atlas is being developed to allow a common communication layer between clients, servers, and associated tools. For software packages that make up the system being developed by the WorldForge project, please see the dependencies for this record.
omega is a complex rogue-style game of dungeon exploration. Unlike other such games, there are a number of ways to "win", depending on various actions taken during play. The ways you can get your name on the hiscore board include becoming the highest ranked head of a guild, sect, college, etc., as well as gaining the most points figured from possessions and experience. The game (via the oracle) may impose some structure on your exploration, but you need not follow all of the oracle's advice. There *is* a "total winner" status, by the way.
Sphere is a RPGCE (a role-playing game (RPG) creation engine) that allows you to relatively easily put together an RPG along the lines of Final Fantasy 6 or Phantasy Star. It supports 32-bit graphics (with 256 levels of translucency) and MP3, Ogg, MOD, S3M, IT, and XM files for audio (and WAV and SPX (speex) for sound effects), and does not place arbitrary limits on map, tile set, sprite set, or script sizes.

GeBoP stands for General Boardgames Player. GeBoP allows you to play 9 strategic boardgames against the computer or against another player. You can even watch a number of computer players fight among themselves. Some of the games can be played with a variable number of players, and other games can be played on various board sizes. GeBoP features a unified best move engine. Because of this, additional strategic boardgames are easy to add to the application.
