BuildMonkey is an automated build, integration, and test platform for large-scale software development, particularly for distributed teams. It lets you manage multiple projects at once on different platforms and with different build technologies (Ant, make, gmake, etc.) and monitor SCM repositories to know what changed, when, and by whom. Build results are known immediately through email notification, and complete build logs are available via a central build dashboard. BuildMonkey integrates with the BuildMonkey EVT test suite to know the status of your host and network infrastructure at all times. Successful builds can be tagged in the SCM repository so they can be recreated.
TweetBox.fx is a Twitter desktop client. It lets users send updates, replies, and direct messages. Users can retrieve their friend's timeline, their own timeline, direct messages, replies, and their favorites. TweetBox also allows the user to view multiple timelines at the same time. TweetBox has a very user friendly entry box for typing updates. It shows you how many characters are left and provides a very easy-to-use URL-shrinking function. TweetBox can also detect links to pictures on Mobypicture and TwitPic and respond by showing, instead of the original URL, a link labeled "picture" that pops up a thumbnail when the mouse hovers over it.
VMD (Visual Molecular Dynamics) is designed for the visualization and analysis of biological systems such as proteins, nucleic acids, lipid bilayer assemblies, etc. It may be used to view more general molecules, as VMD can read standard Protein Data Bank (PDB) files and display the contained structure. VMD provides a wide variety of methods for rendering and coloring a molecule: simple points and lines, CPK spheres and cylinders, licorice bonds, backbone tubes and ribbons, cartoon drawings, and others. VMD can be used to animate and analyze the trajectory of a molecular dynamics (MD) simulation. In particular, VMD can act as a graphical front end for an external MD program by displaying and animating a molecule undergoing simulation on a remote computer. VMD uses OpenGL and OpenGL Programmable Shading Language for high performance rendering of large structures.
Parrot and Chirp are user-level tools that make it easy to rapidly deploy wide area filesystems. Parrot is the client component: it transparently attaches to unmodified applications, and redirects their system calls to various remote servers. A variety of controls can be applied to modify the namespace and resources available to the application. Chirp is the server component: it allows an ordinary user to easily export and share storage across the wide area with a single command. A rich access control system allows users to mix and match multiple authentication types. Parrot and Chirp are most useful in the context of large scale distributed systems such as clusters, clouds, and grids where one may have limited permissions to install software.
TinyIB is a lightweight PHP image board which emulates the functionality of 4chan. If you use MySQL or SQLite, you can use it to create an efficient setup able to handle large amounts of traffic. If you don't use a database, it can store posts as text files for a portable setup capable of running on virtually any PHP host.
WordNet® is an on-line lexical reference system whose design is inspired by current psycholinguistic theories of human lexical memory. English nouns, verbs, adjectives and adverbs are organized into synonym sets, each representing one underlying lexical concept. Different relations link the synonym sets.
The MetaC programming language is a 100% backward compatible extension to the C language that adds reflections and the ability to analyze and modify C source code at compile time. It has been specially designed to search for arbitrary code structures and instantiate new source code. Typical applications for MetaC based meta-programs are development tasks concerning embedded and real-time software. Examples are API abstraction and retargeting to a new API (ever been locked to a vendor-specific API?), application specific debugging and profiling on an embedded target, and WCET measurements.
MuleSoft Tcat Server is enterprise Tomcat made simple: a fully supported Tomcat server that allows developers to easily build and test today’s connected Web applications, and that simplifies Tomcat management and application provisioning tasks for administrators. Tcat Server has an easy graphical installer and headless installer for Linux (multi-distro: RHEL, Debian, CentOS, Fedora, Ubuntu, openSUSE, etc), Windows, Solaris 10, and Solaris 11. Tcat also offers reliable JVM restarts, server group deployments, a REST API for scripting the console in any language, a groovy shell built into the console, and JMX alerting and monitoring features.
OpenTop is a cross-platform, high-performance C++ class library that extends the standard C++ library to provide features similar to (and modelled on) core Java facilities such as resource management, networking, I/O, multi-threading and support for the full Unicode character range. OpenTop also contains a supplementary C++ XML Toolkit which features a SAX-based validating XML parser.
