For users on Linux and Unix, KDE offers a full suite of user workspace applications which allow interaction with these operating systems in a modern, graphical user interface. This includes Plasma Desktop, KDE's innovative and powerful desktop interface. While the fully integrated KDE Workspaces are only available on Linux and Unix, some of these features are available on other platforms. getmail is intended as a simple, secure, and reliable replacement for fetchmail. It retrieves email (either all messages, or only unread messages) from one or more POP3, SPDS, or IMAP4 servers (with or without SSL) for one or more email accounts, and reliably delivers into qmail-style Maildirs, mboxrd files, or through external MDAs (command deliveries) specified on a per-account basis. getmail also has excellent support for domain (multidrop) mailboxes, including delivering messages to different users or destinations based on the envelope recipient address.

Harm acts as a four-way socket redirector that allows you to effectively make a TCP connection from the Internet to a host behind a Linux masquerade-style firewall. The server (behind the firewall) makes connections to the client (on the Internet). After a successful connection, it will bounce packets from a telnet client (Windows and Linux) to the Harm client, to the Harm server (Linux only), or to the telnet daemon behind the firewall.
